Hopping Time!

It's time for the weekly book blogger hops again! A great opportunity to meet new bloggers and say hi to old.

Check out the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Crazy For Books.

I'm Alison. I've been blogging for almost five months. I review mainly YA with a few MG books and a weekly manga feature.

Currently, I'm in the middle of Harry Pott-ober! Throughout October, I'll be doing my Third Annual Harry Potter Re-Read. Right now, I'm in the middle of the 4th book. It's amazing how much new things I learn each time I read the series! Check out my post about the read-through here.

Books Reviewed This Week:

Emma vol 7 by Kaoru Mori (Manga Mondays)
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel

Questions of the Week:

Blog Hop: "What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?" I'd like an e-reader that functions like a Kindle or Nook with Internet access, but allows me to get library books. Something that works instantly from any location (better than the current e-readers that make allow for library downloads - you have to download it to your computer first, I think). I'd want to supply of books to be endless and have no hold times.

Follow Friday: If you have, or would have a daughter, what book would you want your daughter to read? I'd want her to read the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace and the Little House on the Prairie books. And of course, the Harry Potter books.

And also check out Parajunkee's Follow My Book Blog Friday.

Ooh, I forgot to mention the HP books on my list. Oh well. =x I'd love an e-reader, as well! Mostly for ease of use and for taking on trips with me. :P

  4. I completely agree about getting an e-reader. They'd be excellent for traveling and save a lot of room in one's luggage. xD
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and I'm now following you too!

  5. I'm still on the fence about e-readers-would love the convenience but nothing can replace the feel of an actual book. Love Harry Potter. I'm not a re-reader but can't wait til my son is old enough to discover them :)

  11. Old follower hopping through. Your book wish does sound amazing though I haven't embraced the e-reader trend. I love the feel of a real book, walking into a bookstore and holding them. Now that's heaven!

    Have an awesome weekend!

  19. I know the Nook has the ability to download ebooks from the library. My library has a 3 week loan on ebooks, which is nice if I don't have time to read them right away. Have a great weekend!

  20. Hi! I'm a new follower :D And thanks for follow as well :) I actually haven't read the Harry Potter series yet... But I think that I should, especially since I have the first four books, but I was never really got into the first book... But it's always nice to try again :D

  21. Hey, you can totally get library books via Overdrive on a Nook. Not so much with a Kindle, though. I have a Kindle and have found it notoriously difficult to download the supposed "free" titles you can get (mostly public domain items)

Ah, no waiting times.... I suspect you are not alone in that wish. I always have such an intimidating pile of Things to Be Read that a bit of a wait never bothers me much. ;)

  24. hey Alison!

Delicous Library 2 is a program for the Mac that allows you to use to the web cam to scan the bar code of your books, electronics, movies, games, etc. Then, it instantly downloads all the info for it and puts it in your "library". It's great for cataloging & insurance reports :)

    Here, check it out :)
