Book Riot Quarterly Box #8 Unveiling

Book Riot is a very popular book blog and recently created a quarterly subscription box. For $50, they will send you a box filled with books and book related items every quarter. I've loved them all. If you haven't subscribed yet, I highly recommend it. It's always a lovely surprise.

I always look forward to the arrival of my Quarterly Book Riot box. There are actually two boxes you can subscribe to: an adult oriented box and a YA oriented box. That's not to say that teens wouldn't enjoy the adult box or adults won't enjoy the YA box. The Book Riot people carefully select items for the boxes to hopefully appeal to everyone.

I love the books in this quarter's box. Not quite as thrilled with the "bookish" items. I wouldn't say this is my favorite box, but I still really enjoyed it.

**I copied the previous three sentence from last quarter's box unveiling. I feel exactly the same way about this box. The books make the boxes worth it, even though I often through away most of the extras. Even though that makes the boxes not so worth it financially, I still love the surprise.**

Here is the box and its contents:

Opening up the box. I always love how these boxes are packed.

A Books pendant. Not sure what I'll do with this but it's cute.

Once again, another thing I probably won't use. But I might.

Yet another thing, I probably won't use. But I can pass it along.

This is new to me. It sounds great. I'm really excited to read it.

A fun looking extra to go along with Skippy Dies

I've always meant to read Zadie Smith. Glad to have an opportunity to do so.

Everything laid out, except for the extra Skippy Dies photo, because I didn't find that until after I took this photo. It was buried underneath all the packing paper shreds.

  1. I actually think I'm going to cancel my subscription for the Adult one. Nothing has really wowed me. I'm keeping the YA one for now. I didn't find the print until I was going to throw the box away. Eek. Did you notice there was not card explaining everything in there like there usually is.

  2. I have recently subscribed to a UK YA Subscription service called Illumicrate and I am SO excited to receive my first box! The bookish items in this box look a little uninspiring, if this keeps happening perhaps you could find a different one to subscribe to? I understand liking the surprise element of the experience, but if you don't like most of the things they send, you might like another haul better!! Just an idea :)

Also, I am currently running two Giveaways! Click here for Hanna Peach’s ‘Girl Wife Prisoner’, and here for Garrett Calcaterra’s ‘Dreamwielder’! Good luck!

I love comments. I appreciate every one! Thank you in advance.

This blog is now an award free zone. I just don't have time to pass on the awards as they deserve.
