Waiting on Wednesdays: Death Sworn by Leah Cypess

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine!

Death Sworn by Leah Cypess

Publish Date: March 4, 2014
Publisher: Greenwillow

I think I've used this for my WoW before, but I so love Leah Cypess that it's worth revisiting. It's almost out!

When Ileni lost her magic, she lost everything: her place in society, her purpose in life, and the man she had expected to spend her life with. So when the Elders sent her to be magic tutor to a secret sect of assassins, she went willingly, even though the last two tutors had died under mysterious circumstances.

But beneath the assassins’ caves, Ileni will discover a new place and a new purpose… and a new and dangerous love. She will struggle to keep her lost magic a secret while teaching it to her deadly students, and to find out what happened to the two tutors who preceded her. But what she discovers will change not only her future, but the future of her people, the assassins… and possibly the entire world.

  1. I've read A Touch Mortal sometime ago & she and I had not connected. Maybe it was my mood.

But this one. I think I'll take a chance with this one.

  12. Even without losing everything I would willingly sign up to a secret magic sect to become an elite assassin! I mean, career plan sorted! The cover for this novel is absolutely stunning! I think this one will have to go on my TBR pile! Thanks for sharing :) Hope you have a good rest of the week!

  18. I wasn't too keen on this one, but I do recall how much people loved Mistborn by Leah Cypress when it was released so I still really want to read that one!
