Feature and Follow Friday #85

Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

Our Feature -Ezine of a Random Girl

Over here! I'm Guen, an all around book lover and random girl. Like most book lovers, I always have a book with me--whether or not I take it around with me depends on the situation. I THINK I'm just a normal teen (um, well, define normal, first). If ever asked what would the first store I would hit up at the mall--it would be a bookstore. It doesn't matter what bookstore, just as long as it's a bookstore, I could stay there for hours. I'm still a full time student but I've got two of my book lovin' friends, Cara and Pink (alias) to back me up on the blog.

You see, I find it really hard to answer the ""what's your favorite book?"" question because I never seem to find one book that I am absolutely mad, crazy, and in love about. There just too many books I'ver read that I loved. But I love reading any YA novels, whether be it historical fiction, paranormal romance, dystopian, contemporary, etc. I'm usually a positive person (note the usually) and almost always love the book after reading. I said almost always didn't I? :) But just so you know, I loved the Hunger Games and I'm loving the hush, hush series...and a whole lot more.

Q: Activity!!! Take a picture or describe where you love to read the most...

**First off, I want to apologize in advance for a lack of commenting this weekend (as well as last weekend). I'm going to be out of town so I won't be spending a lot of time on the computer. If anyone has any idea of fun things to do in Billings, Montana, let me know!

I really don't have a favorite place to read. If anything, it would be my bed. But I love reading in bed, on the couch, at my desk, outside, at coffee shops, in the car - just about everywhere. I also like sitting at Barnes & Noble reading a book that I already have at home just for the excitement of reading in the bookstore.

Now for the Follow Fun!

With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly.

We have a new button, so update your blogs if you are used to doing this meme!

  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
  5. If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  6. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  7. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
  8. If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!
Happy Follow Friday! Come back at midnight CST for the Facebook & Twitter hop!!

  2. Hopping through! I can't read at the bookstore. I don't think they like you when you do that. At least that's my experience. Reading in bed is definitely my favorite!

  5. Bookstores is not a good place for me to read. I get distracted very easily. I like peace and quiet so much sometimes I read in my car, just to have the quiet time.

    Happy Friday!

  7. Upper-end bookstores when I get to visit the city, I've seen nooks where people can grab a book and read but I rarely visit these places nowadays so I usually read at home or if traveling, the hotel bed or coffee table too.

  11. I know that excitement...it's why I want to work in a bookstore so badly. Although such a job may be detrimental to my wallet.

PS: Please don't feel afraid to check out my Frivolously Follow Me Friday post here. Thanks!

  28. Billings!! *squeal!*

Yellowtail damn is amazing if you can get someone with a boat to take you. AMAZING. So I hear. All the time. Actually... get someone with a boat and go out on the lake up past the heights, too, or out to the other damn by Redlodge - not too far. Very fun!!

The water park is chilly, but pretty cool, if it's open still. You simply MUST walk the Rims - just park and soak up the view and think of my husband driving off of it. Naw... skip that part.

I like the river thru town, too. Pebbly beaches are fun. The mall is a fast tour. :-) As is downtown.

Mostly the folks are awesome... more relaxed, social, friendly... try to crash a get-together or two. They didn't seem to mind when we were there. I felt like I gained extra family.

    Enjoy Billings!!!!
