YA Quarterly Box #4 Unveiling

I always look forward to the arrival of my Quarterly Book Riot box. This was the fourth issue of the YA version of their regular Quarterly Box.

Book Riot is a very popular book blog and now has TWO Quarterly book related boxes. For $50 (each box costs $55 with shipping), they will send you a box filled with books and book related items every quarter. The YA box is obviously YA related, but the non-book items aren't really kiddish. They appeal to people of all ages. But at the same time, they aren't obviously adult - like a book related flask, which I received in the general box. The general box has adult books of all different genres (even a Ms. Marvel trade one time) and fun bookish items.

It took forever to get this box! It didn't arrive until two weeks after it shipped. At which time, I had already moved. So that caused an additional level of complexity (although only one additional day of delay).

After the last box, I said I was thinking of cancelling my subscription because I haven't been interested in the non-book items. I'm so glad I kept the subscription! This was such a good box! My favorite of the YA boxes and maybe my favorite of all the Book Riot boxes.

The subscription is staying, for at least a few more tries.

Here is the box and its contents:

Upon opening the box

We Are The Ants book

Ana of California. This sounds very good. They're spinning it as a Latina Anne of Green Gables.

A coloring book! This is a postcard version of the popular Enchanted Forest book. Super excited.

A view inside

My favorite part of the box!! I love socks! I put these on as soon as the box arrived. I love them.

Swag. Not my thing but I think younger people would like it.

See above about swag.

I forgot to take a photo of the contents of the box laid out, before I put the books in the shelf. Because I'm all about cleaning and organization lately.

  2. I actually cancelled my subscription but now I wish I had kept it for this box. The ones previous just didn't feel worth the money to me. I think I'll wait and see how your next one goes. :)

  3. To me, the cost of these boxes just doesn't seem equal to what's inside. I still like seeing what you get, though. Bookish surprises are always exciting :)

I love comments. I appreciate every one! Thank you in advance.

This blog is now an award free zone. I just don't have time to pass on the awards as they deserve.
