I'm back from my beautiful trip to South America. We went to Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. It was such a fun trip! We spent 4 days in Rio de Janeiro, about 3 in Iguazu Falls, 2 in Sao Paulo, and then a cruise that took us to Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, and Montevideo.
It was a great escape from the cold winter. In fact, we were overheated much of the time.
I'd love to go back someday. Especially since we spent so much money on visas to Brazil that are now valid for ten years. The only bad thing is that it's a lot more work than visiting Europe, Asia, or Australia. No one speaks English and crime is a real issue, especially in Rio de Janeiro (I think we had a car follow us once when leaving the ATM but otherwise we were fine). Still, I especially loved Rio. The beaches were beautiful and there was so many iconic places.
Here are some photos:

As I am reading this, it is -30 outside with the wind chill!! So yeah, I'm definitely jealous. I'm even more envious of all the sights you got to see!ReplyDelete
You are such a world traveler! I loved Brazil when I visited several years back (four?). Gorgeous country and people. Didn't make it to the falls, though that was on my list. Next time!ReplyDelete
Lovely pictures! I hope you enjoyed your trip :) I've been Panama and have several friends from Colombia, but I've never been further south on the continent.ReplyDelete
