Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before.
Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.
Our Feature - Teen Book Hoots
1. When did you start blogging?
I started blogging in the summer of 2013, I love it so much! It's one of the best things I have ever done!
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
My favourite part of book blogging is reading the nice comments that people put on my blog, and chatting to new people on other blogs.
3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?
I blog about a lot of YA and teenage books, as a lot of teenagers don't like reading and they don't realise there are some fantastic books out there, just for them.
4. What are your favorite books?
My all time favourite book is The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. It's such a powerful book and I have read it over and over.
5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
The best thing that has happened to me because of book blogging is talking to some of my favourite authors over social networking sites and I love it when they look at my blog and give me feedback.
Question of the Week: What was the last book that made you cry?
You know, I'm not sure. It's been a surprisingly long time. I was just looking at my Goodreads log and I think it's been over a year. My default sob inducing books are If I Stay and Time Traveler's Wife.
{Edit: After reading some of the responses, I remembered that there have been a few books I've cried over relatively recently. I got quite teary over Allegiant, which was interesting since I was on the exercise bike at the gym at the time. Also, sobbed at the end of Clockwork Princess. Happy tears. Surprisingly, I did not cry over The Fault in Our Stars. I know, I'm heartless.).
Now for the Follow Fun!
With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly. We have a new button, so update your blogs if you are used to doing this meme!

I haven't read those but I hear good things. Cool feature!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
My FF
I've not read them yet. Heard so much about Time Traveler's Wife but for some reason I keep putting it off. I loved Gayle Forman's Just One Day so maybe I'll check out If I Stay soon =)
ReplyDeleteLoved the Time Traveler's Wife! And I am one who loved the ending of Clockwork Princess ;) I still haven't read Allegiant. The Twitter spoilers (grrrr) have made me wait (for what I don't know lol). But TFIOS totally got me. Like, major headache ;) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteAh The Time Traveler's Wife. Me too, I'd forgotten about that one. Happy Friday!
ReplyDelete~Pam @ Moonlight Reader
Yay to discovering new blogs! I followed TeenBookHoots! Only found out about this feature today! Think it's a great idea :)
ReplyDelete-Kimi at Geeky Chiquitas
I never read The Time Traveler's Wife, but I saw the film and blubbered pretty good. I can only imagine the book was worse. :D Happy Friday! :D
ReplyDeleteIf I Stay was a great book! This is my first Feature and Follow. I am so excited. :)

I heard of those three titles you mentioned but I've never read them and I know they turned Divergent and The fault in our stars into movies, which I gonna see :)

I love this week's topic! I'm such a sucker - I cry over books times out of 10. It's ridiculous. And makes reading in public somewhat more challenging hahaha. I haven't read any of the books you've mentioned yet, but they're both on my TBR (where they have been languishing for a really long time now, unfortunately). I'm a first time F&F!
ReplyDeleteHere's my F&FF. :)
ReplyDeleteNew RSS and old Bloglovin' follower. :)
Oop! That was premature!
DeleteI meant to say that If I Stay kills me. KILLS me. It's not even a favorite--I don't love it. It just gets at me, though, and before I know it I'm half sobbing (read: ugly-crying)-half reading, and my husband is looking very concerned.
My ex and I watched the film adaptation of The Time Traveler's Wife and didn't like it. I heard from reviews that the book explains a lot of things better, though I've also read some scathing reviews of the book. I honestly can't think of any books with lots of hype that I've gone along with the majority view on.
ReplyDeleteI've not read If I Stay or The Time Traveler's Wife, but Allegiant is my pick this week as well. Totally sob-worthy.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC follower :)
Courtney @ Court Reads and Reviews
TFioS almost brought me to tears, closest I've ever been because of a book haha.
ReplyDeleteOld follower!
My FF
I haven't read The Time Travellers Wife but I saw the movie and that brought me close to tears.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! The clockwork princess! That was also one of mine. Those last pages. Oh my!! Did I cry a lot happy tears
ReplyDeleteI don't cry too much myself either. I might get sad and watery eyed. But never full on tears running down. Although Allegiant, my pick, was the last one that I recall get watery eyed and probably a silent tear or two!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I can understand not crying during The Fault in Our Stars, sometimes I don't cry if I expect to, usually a book has to catch me by surprise, although I do tear up easily, it's much harder to make me really cry.
ReplyDeleteI sobbed over Clockwork Princess, too! I was a wreck for two days afterward - almost got banned from reading sad books. Yeah . . . right. lol
ReplyDeleteTime Traveler's Wife is my go to sob book as well. No matter how many times I read the book, I cry so hard at the end!

I haven't read those books but heard of them.
ReplyDeleteI nearly chose The Time Traveller's Wife myself, beautiful book and so tragic!
ReplyDeleteThea @ Gizzimomo's Book Shelf
I had to look back at my Goodreads shelf to figure out what book I cried over because I couldn't remember. And don't feel bad, I didn't cry over The Fault in Our Stars either!

Hate List made me cry like a baby!
ReplyDeleteClockwork Princess was bad yeah.. that was crazy sobbing with that one :P
ReplyDeleteI love the Fault in Our Stars as well and am excited about the movie coming out. Hope it closely follows the book! I'm a new book blogger, so I'm excited I found your blog! :)
ReplyDeletewww.shebecameabutterfly.net
If I Stay had be crying quite a bit, too! Even if it's not the most recent book to make you cry, it's an excellent choice, Alison!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic Friday! Here's my FF post for this week.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
When it comes to books I get more ticked off than cry..like when something happens that I should cry I get all pissed off and what to stop reading or throw the book across the room...lol I just avoid sappy books so I don't have to cry..lol
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time participating in this blog hop. I would see it around all the time, but it never clicked that I should actually join until today aha. I've heard of those books, but never read them I'll probably give them a try! ^.^
ReplyDeleteThis week is going to be my first time participating in the blog hop too! :) I always see this around too! :)
DeleteI also sobbed at the end of Clockwork Princess although a lot of my tears were heartbroken tears ;) But I'm a seriously emotional reader so I cry in most books :)

I lost it in Time Traveler's Wife. I hated the book at first, was very hard to get into, but once I did, I was sucked in. Then the ending came, and I was destroyed. It was wonderful though! I think it's about time I re-read that one, if I can handle it!!

ReplyDeleteHi, Alison, I'm new to this feature and follow meme. I follow you with email. I haven't read Time Traveler's Wife, but I was crying while I was watching the movie. It was really sad :(
ReplyDeleteHey Alison! Hope you had a great weekend. The last book that made me cry was Me Since You by Laura Weiss. Such a great and hard ending.
