Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
How To Become a Featured Blog?
We pick our featured blogs randomly each week from the blogs who participated the week before. Please be sure to feature your e-mail address clearly on your blog. Either on the main blog, on a Contact page, or on an About Me page. If I can't find your email easily, I will choose a different blog to feature.
Our Feature - Pinkindle
I started my little blog on November 26, 2011!
2. What is your favorite part of book blogging?
I love having my own space on the internet where I can share my opinion on the books I'm reading. It's great when someone leaves a comment on a review saying that it helped them decided whether or not to pick up a particular book. I also love when I discover other fans of lesser known books through my reviews!
3. What type of books do you mainly blog about?
I read just about anything, so I don't really have a "main type" that I post about. I guess most of my reviews are YA and Paranormal, but I also post reviews of Adult books.
4. What is your favorite book(s)?
My absolute favorite is actually a nonfiction title, Sleeping Naked is Green by Vanessa Farquharson. I was an Environmental Science major, so of course I found the authors journey to a greener lifestyle very interesting. My other favorites include The Host by Stephenie Meyer, Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins, Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma, the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead, and Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi (Chapter 62!).
5. What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
Getting nominated as an Overall Best Blog for the BBTC! That was really awesome and unexpected!
Q: Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
Well, this will be my first summer in Montana so I don't have a favorite outdoor spot yet.
We have a very large backyard, so I think I will set my lawn chair out there once the weather is nice. Too bad there's no fence though - so the dog will be on a leash or stay inside.

Now for the Follow Fun!
With GFC going the way of the dodo bird for many bloggers, there is no better time to start following blogs via RSS feed. If you use a reader, it would be great if you followed my RSS directly. We have a new button, so update your blogs if you are used to doing this meme!
RULES
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:- (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
- (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
- If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
- If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

Wow! I want to climb that tree in the background. If I was a kid or little that would be my reading spot for sure. It must be a pain without a fence. How do you mow all that or do you leave up to the animals to munch down? Old GFC follower here, but I just clicked your handy-dandy RSS feed button. Here's my FF.
ReplyDeleteI just started doing these last week! Here is mine:)

ReplyDeleteIt's still damn cold here and we even got a little more snow this last week, which is crazy! Anyway, I love the park just outside of my home and I love wandering around listening to an audiobook!
Your backyard is amazing! If I choose to read outside, I'm usually up on a balcony on one of the buildings at my university. It's got a really lovely view and there's umbrella tables up there.

Your back yard is beautiful! That will be a great reading atmosphere :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Montana! Such a beautiful state. I'd love to live in Montana :D When I lived in the sticks in Michigan, we had a really big backyard filled with all sorts of nature. I would drag a blanket and a pillow out to the middle of the yard, sprawl out, and read. I've since moved (still in Michigan), but I live on a lake, so I drag my plastic chair down by the lake to read. It's pretty calming, and it's nice when the people on pontoon boats wave "hi" as they float by.
