Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking The Spine spotlighting upcoming releases.
Sapphique - Catherine Fisher (U.S. release: Dec. 28, 2010)
I loved Incarceron and I can't wait until Sapphique comes out in the U.S.
Summary
Finn has escaped from the terrible living Prison of Incarceron, but its memory torments him, because his brother Keiro is still inside. Outside, Claudia insists he must be king, but Finn doubts even his own identity. Is he the lost prince Giles? Or are his memories no more than another construct of his imprisonment? And can you be free if your friends are still captive? Can you be free if your world is frozen in time? Can you be free if you don't even know who you are? Inside Incarceron, has the crazy sorcerer Rix really found the Glove of Sapphique, the only man the Prison ever loved. Sapphique, whose image fires Incarceron with the desire to escape its own nature. If Keiro steals the glove, will he bring destruction to the world? Inside. Outside. All seeking freedom. Like Sapphique.

ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to read Incarceron - and I didn't realize the sequel was coming out so soon. *must read faster* Nice pick!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW this week is Charles de Lint's The Painted Boy.
Ooooh I hope I have downtime to get to all these books piling up on my TBR list. I'm looking forward to this as well.
ReplyDeleteOur pick is at BookSake.
So many questions that need answering, I'm going to have to add this to my wish list. A really good cover as well, I love the simplicity of it.
